God to the Rescue!, Part 2

What happens when God remembers? In Scripture, whenever it says that God remembers someone, or remembers a covenant he has made with someone, it doesn't mean that he had previously forgotten, but something jogged his memory. Rather, it means that he is about to take action on their behalf. Last week, we saw that God heard the groaning of his people, who had been toiling in Egypt as slaves for centuries. But he didn't merely hear their pleas...God remembered. And when God remembered, it set the stage for his judgment against the Egyptians and his deliverance of the Hebrews. As he leads his ancient people away from slavery, he is painting a picture of the greater judgment and deliverance that was to come in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus....and that's why this story brings us such hope!  Join us this weekend as we look at Part Two of God to the Rescue!
