Going After The Friendship Of God

The last words Jesus said to his disciples were about knowing God's deep friendship with his people. In fact, Jesus even says that without a deep friendship with God we will never be fruitful. So how does one develop and maintain a deep friendship with the God of the universe? What does it look like? What does it feel like? Can I sustain a vibrant and real relationship with the God of the universe? Is this a priority? And, if all of this really is true, how, just how, practically speaking, do I go about developing and maintaining this friendship with God that Jesus talks about with his disciples.This Sunday we will look again at this metaphor of the relationship of the vine and the branches in order to come to grips with how close God is to his people.Also, don't forget to set your clocks back or you will arrive at the church an hour early. I don't know about you, but I have been tired the last six months, ever since I lost that hour of sleep. I can't wait to get it back.Blessings,James M. Holland
