We are excited to announce the launch of a new ministry emphasis at St. Patrick. We’re calling it Special Friends: Welcomed. Valued. Celebrated. While the world’s approach to those with special needs is to abort and abandon, scripture is clear about God’s own view. Every person is fearfully and wonderfully made and wanted just as they are (Psalm 139), and Jesus even gave preference at his table to those whom the world ignored (Matthew 14). Our desire is to set a safe, welcoming, fun, and inclusive place at our table where families with special needs can experience and enhance our discipleship at St Patrick.
So please join us for Disability 101 – a kickoff presentation and lunch after worship on January 28 at the church. No experience is necessary! Remember, this is all about the heart, so come even (or especially) if you have fears or questions. Part of bearing our cross in discipleship is to become comfortable with what’s uncomfortable, all for the joy set before us.
All members of your family are invited to stay for lunch. The presentation is intended for adults and youth ages 6th grade and up. Childcare will be provided during the presentation for kids 5th grade and younger. Please RSVP for the lunch & childcare below.
